'Dancing With The Stars': Gladys Knight Exits With Class

On Tuesday night, it came down to the youngest and the oldest castmembers on the "Dancing With the Stars" elimination show.

Before the final verdict was made, Disney star Roshon Fegan and soul legend Gladys Knight duked it out dancing the jive for the judges, and both impressed with their varying styles.

The final decision was up to the judges and based on the jive performances of the bottom two contenders. Carrie Ann Inaba was the lone judge who voted to save Knight and her partner, Tristan MacManus. Fegan and his professional partner, Chelsie Hightower, lived to dance another round.

During Monday night's Motown-themed show, Knight danced the rumba, and the judges thought her routine was passionate and said her star quality was undeniable. That said, they noted that her performance could have been a bit steamier and said that she lost it a bit at the end. "You're not the best dancer, but I'll tell you what you are ... Gladys, you are the most charismatic dancer, I'm telling you. It is so appealing," head judge Len Goodman told her. "It's just easy like Sunday morning!"

Knight's scores were at the bottom of the leaderboard Monday night.

"I am so just amazed at this journey. It's been absolutely extraordinary. I learned so many things ... I'm just overjoyed," Knight said after learning she'd be going home. She later said of the remaining castmembers, "They are already stepping up way, way, way beyond anything that's ever been on this show. And I love them all. I wish them Godspeed and I wish them the best."

The remaining seven couples will return to dance again next Monday.
